Senior Life Solutions at Rainy Lake Medical Center is an outpatient behavioral health program designed to meet the unique emotional and mental health needs of adults 65 and older. Through group-based therapy, education, and support, we help older adults manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, and other life changes while continuing to live at home.

Aging brings many joys, including more time with family and freedom in retirement, but it can also involve difficult life transitions, the loss of loved ones, changes in living situations, and stress from age-related health concerns. Senior Life Solutions can help.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if Senior Life Solutions is right for me or my loved one?

If an older adult is experiencing ongoing sadness, anxiety, withdrawal, or difficulty adjusting to life changes, an assessment can help determine whether the program is appropriate. Our team will talk with the individual and, if permitted, their family or caregivers to understand their needs.

Do participants need a referral from a doctor?

Referrals are welcome but not always required. Family members or older adults can contact us directly to start the assessment process. Our team will coordinate with the primary care provider as needed.

Can participants continue seeing their existing doctors?

Yes. Senior Life Solutions is designed to work alongside a participant’s current medical providers. We keep them informed, with consent, to support overall health and wellness.

How long do people typically stay in the program?

Length of stay varies based on individual needs and progress. Many participants attend the program for several weeks to a few months, with regular reviews of their treatment plan.
