In a time of growth and opportunity, Rainy Lake Medical Center has two more accomplishments to celebrate.
The facility this week was awarded two prestigious awards, highlighting excellence in employee engagement and physician experience.
RLMC received the Pinnacle of Excellence Award and Guardian of Excellence Award from Press Ganey, an Indiana-based company referred to as a global leader in healthcare experience.
“These awards serve as another testament to our continued growth, employee focused culture, and commitment to delivering top-notch care,” said RLMC CEO Robb Pastor.
Pinnacle of Excellence Award
The Pinnacle of Excellence Award recognizes Rainy Lake Clinic for exhibiting the highest levels of standards in physician experience for three years in a row.
“We continue to raise the bar in taking care of the communities we serve, by connecting all the dots across people, process, and technology to seamlessly drive immediate and meaningful change in care delivery — and putting human experience at the heart of healthcare,” Pastor said. “This accolade demonstrates our commitment to our mission of providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to the community. As a result, we were recognized as one of the top-performing organizations across the country.”
Patrick T. Ryan, CEO and chairman at Press Ganey, said this recognition reinforces the belief in the transformative power of patient-centered care, positive employee experiences, and effective clinical outcomes.

Guardian of Excellence Award
As a winner of the Guardian of Excellence Award, RLMC scored in the top 5 percent of healthcare providers in delivering exceptional employee experience in the last year.
“It fills me with pride that our employee engagement and satisfaction have remained consistently high,” Pastor said. “Our teams’ hard work and commitment to excellence have been the driving force behind our success, and have made RLMC the area’s employer of choice.”
Ryan offered supporting comments.

While the awards will be celebrated by RLMC’s board, leaders and staff, Pastor said he’s hopeful the community will celebrate the accomplishments, too.

We want everyone who comes through our doors to feel welcome, comforted and taken care of.”
Looking ahead, Pastor said the stage is set for 2024 to be another successful year for the organization and commends the hard work being done in all of the facility’s departments.
