Rainy Lake Medical Center officials are excited to announce a major step forward in strengthening the organization’s surgery department and expanding access to specialized care for the Borderland community. Through its ongoing partnership with Orthopaedic Associates of Duluth, RLMC will now offer weekly orthopedic coverage, ensuring patients can receive advanced treatment close to home.
Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Landon D. Brown will visit RLMC several times each month, providing expertise in total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, along with a full range of orthopedic care, including robotic-assisted procedures, complex fracture treatment, and tendon reconstruction.
“This expansion means patients no longer need to travel long distances for specialized orthopedic care,” said Robb Pastor, CEO of Rainy Lake Medical Center. “It’s a significant milestone for RLMC and for our community, reinforcing our commitment to deliver high-quality surgical services right here in International Falls.”
Dr. Brown brings extensive training and experience, including a fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at Houston Methodist Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. His addition strengthens RLMC’s ability to provide world-class care locally.
